Horseshoe Trail - Saturday August 9, 2008

There was a large turnout for this hike; the pictures are from the shorter alternate hike with Mark "B"! If anyone has pictures from Mark "F"'s hike, please e-mail them so they can be posted.
The shorterned hike walked around Middle Creek with discussion of fauna and butterflies by Mark B. We even experienced one of the "rare" ferns that Mark pointed out to us! (See picture below by the bridge)

French Creek State Park - Saturday July 26, 2008

Philadelphia Historical Tour/ Train Ride - June 14, 2008

It was a sunny day for this hike and lots of sites were seen including turkeys at the Reading Terminal Market!

Lancaster Central Park - May 31, 2008

Although this hike was a "wash", we still managed to complete it and test out our rain gear!

York Heritage Trail - May 3. 2008

This Rail to Trail is scenic and many hikers also enjoyed a bike ride afterwards on the trail!

Appalachian Trail in West Virginia/ Virginia - April 25-27, 2008

Fun was had by all on this visit to the AT this year including taking in views of the Potomac, interesting sites on the trail, traveling with friends, and meeting fellow hikers along the trail! (Including a traveling trail dog!) One of our fellow hikers even created her own "one-person tent" to avoid rain while we waited to start our last day of hiking!
